Summary: Performs repetitive mass - production of scrolling comforters on automated equipment. Description of Position / Duties:
Ensure output meets PCF's targeted goals. Sets scrolling trays to correct product size for proper scrolling. Sets computer to scroll correct product pattern on specified unit. Checks sewing and cording of products perimeter as clamping onto tray for scrolling. If stitching or cording is bad, report it to supervisor. Check closing and tags on product fill opening. Tags must be sewn in correctly, and stitching should be of good quality with minimal to no fabric tuck in closing. Distribution of down must be even before scrolling process is activated. If fiber filled, make sure fiber is clamped evenly, to avoid pull out and separation from shell perimeter. Inspect product for fabric flaws, soiling, or holes. All thread must be trimmed less than ' in length prior to packaging. There is to be no skipped or looped stitches within scrolled pattern. All borders should be even from side to side and have the proper number of stitches per inch. Maintain production efficiency, and quality Minimize all set-up time. Work at different work stations, as production needs require. Assist team in maintaining a safe, clean, neat and orderly work area. Ensure that the quality of the product meets the product specifications (BOM). Provide input to Supervisor for equipment problems. Ensure output meets PCF's targeted goals. Package the product.
High school graduate or GED equivalent Exhibiting high motivation and sense of urgency. Ability to monitor production process hourly to ensure efficiency standards are on target. Ability to make decisions in a timely manner while maintaining extremely high quality standards. Ability to determine proper course of action in solving job-related problems. Time management, scheduling and prioritization skills. Ability to keep the floor and work areas clean of debris. Ability to lift 50 lbs (manufacturing environment). Able to read effectively .
