This position is responsible for programming and setup documentation of CNC Swiss Turns, Lathes, and Mills. Primary function is to evaluate, develop and document manufacturing processes to provide greater productivity and efficiency.


  1. CNC Programming - develop CNC Part Programs for Swiss Turns, Lathes, and Mills using ESPRIT
  2. Document new parts with set up sheets and work instructions
  3. Participate in efforts to reduce waste in the machine shop
  4. Perform 1st part inspections and prove-out on machined parts
  5. Create fixture drawings using SolidEdge
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues and manual processes
  7. Contribute to team environments for Kaizen events, 5S, Process Flow, Cost Improvements, etc.
  8. Participate in employee teams to determine root cause of problems
  9. Provide primary input to Manufacturability Reviews
  10. Collect data to improve processes
  11. Perform general duties as assigned and assist in other areas as workload requires


  1. Associate s degree in technical field or 3+ years equivalent experience
  2. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing; transfer of details and important instructions are key to this position
  3. Ability to read blueprints and properly inspect part using hand gaging
  4. Detail oriented with a strong work ethic
  5. Self-starter, motivated and resourceful
  6. Results-driven with a focus to exceed goals and objectives
  7. Positive attitude with a desire to learn
  8. Advanced math skills including ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, volume, circumference and rate; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry


  1. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

  3. Experience with Fanuc and / or Mitsubishi controls
  4. Experience with Swiss Turn Lathes
  5. Experience programming with ESPRIT, knowledge of G-Code
