Intern - NSX L3 Cloud fabric team



VMware is looking for a talented engineer to fill this Intern position within our R&D organization.



You will get exposure to a huge range of software platform, networking and firewall technologies that are loved by customers all over the world. We are looking for people who thrive in an open, innovative, technology-driven culture.



**Job Role and Responsibilities:**



+ Excellent understanding of Networking technologies - Switching, Routing & Security

+ Excellent coding skills - Java, C++ & Python

+ Understanding of Software defined networking principles

+ Understanding of distributed systems

+ Preferred - Experience working on networking technologies for a public cloud provider (eg: AWS, Google cloud, Azure etc)

+ Preferred - Experience working on a networking software stack

+ Preferred - Experience with authentication and authorization technologies



**Qualifications:**



+ Enrolled and pursuing a BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent preferred

+ Hands on experience in one of the following languages:Java, C++ Exposure to building apps on open source SDN controllers

+ Exposure to working on virtual switches running on any platforms (KVM, ESX, Hyper-V)

+ Exposure to using python programming through past internships or school projects preferred

+ Open source community experience is a plus

The NSX controller team is disrupting the Networking industry with it's innovation in SDN. Among other things, You will be working on technology that integrates the physical Top of rack switches with NSX. This pioneering technology would allow NSX to span logical networks across physical (non-virtualized) workloads.
